In May 2024, a 126-year-old Dutch Sailing Barge named Drie Gebroeders will set off on an epic adventure from Lough Erne in Co. Fermanagh to the eastern Scottish coast, and back again.

The goal is to attend two maritime festivals and raise funds for the mental well-being charity, Inspire - Wellbeing.

The crew, named 'Motley Crew' for its diversity, will include people from all ages and sections of the community.

The journey will begin in mid-May and return to Carrickfergus in the latter half of July. Local businesses AGR Engineering and Fermanagh Lodges have already joined as sponsors, and the organisers hope more will help fundraise by supplying goods, services, discounts, or donations.
