The problems with the No.1 ferry linkspan at Douglas Harbour have now been rectified, reports EnergyFM.

A fault with a hydraulic pump which put the berth out of action last week, caused some travel disruption for Isle of Man Steam Packet passengers.

The former Sealink linkspan is now used by the Steam-Packet's fastcraft ferry Mannannan, which had been forced to use the King Edward Pier (see story) berth.

This caused a number of delays to services by the ropax Ben-My-Chree

A crew member, Afloat recently reported was promoted as the new master of the ferry.
