The new 60’ Flying Nikka from the drawing board of Mark Mills in County Wicklow has been launched in Portofino

The County Wicklow-designed Flying Nikka, the first fully foiling offshore maxi by Mark Mills, has been revealed before the first event of Flying Nikka’s season, the Regate di Primavera in Portofino, Italy.

As Afloat reported in May 2021, construction began on the extreme 60’ foiler design a year ago.

The Irish designer Mark Mills sat down for an interview with Flying Nikka partner TAG Heuer’s The Edge Magazine to explain some of the background to Flying Nikka and why its ambition matches that of TAG Heuer. The interview is here
