Winners of the Irish Travel Industry Awards 2017 for Ferry & Cruise Operators

Irish Ferries has won in the ITAA's Best Ferry Company award. Their flagship Ulysses is seen berthed at Dublin Port's Terminal 1 while an inbound cruiseship Delphin arrives.

#TravelAwards – At the Irish Travel Industry Awards held recently in Dublin, the winners in the Ferry and Cruise categories were presented in the historic surroundings of the Mansion House.

The annual awards are an initiative of the Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) with the support of Worldchoice and Travelsavers. The awards are the premier awards for suppliers and travel agents in Ireland.

Below are listed the winners from the Ferry & Cruise categories:

Best Ferry Company: Irish Ferries

Best General Cruise Company: Royal Caribbean International

Best Ultra Luxury Cruise Company: Silversea Cruises

Best Specialist Cruise Company: Uniworld River Cruises

About IDRA 14s

The Irish Dinghy Racing Association One Design or IDRA14 class is known for its convivial class association and affordable racing and great team spirit.

The IDRA14 class is 75 years old in 2021 with some original boats still racing but also entirely up to date with fibreglass boats, trapezes and spinnakers.

The races in summer and winter from three Dublin sailing clubs.

There are currently IDRA 14’s racing in Clontarf (CYBC), Sutton (SDC) and Dun Laoghaire (DMYC and RStGYC).

Boats are available in fibreglass and timber from approximately €1,500 ready to sail.

The IDRA 14s are working on plans to celebrate their 75th Anniversary in 2021.
