Afloat.ie - Have your say with Comments

9th June 2008

Afloat wants to hear your comments on the stories we update daily on the website, so from today we've enabled comments on all news articles for registered users. It's time for you to join the conversation.

We know that you like to have your say, so now we're encouraging you to join the fray right here on Afloat.ie.

Simply register as an Afloat.ie user, log in, and post your comments in the space provided below news posts.

All that we ask in return is that you keep it clean. Any comments that are deemed unnecessarily profane, abusive or legally contentious will be removed by Afloat.ie's online moderators, and the guilty parties face a two-week comment ban, with repeat offenders (three strikes and you're out) barred for good.

Other than that, it's over to you!

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven't put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full-time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
