#Rowing: Ireland’s junior quadruple won their second successive gold medal at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in Hazewinkel in Belgium today. Barry O’Flynn, Matt Dundon, Jack Keating and James Quinlan have not lost a race at the two-day event, as they won their heats and finals on both days. They recorded their best time in the Sunday final and came home ahead of Italy, who tested the Irish with a sprint to the line, and Hungary. Britain were fourth.
It took Ireland’s gold medal tally at the event to four so far.
Georgia O’Brien, who won gold on Saturday, took fourth in the A Final of the junior women’s single sculls on Sunday. France's Virginie Liot, whom O'Brien had pipped to win on Saturday, took gold this time, with Britain and Spain taking sillver and bronze.
The Ireland men’s junior four took fifth in their A Final.
