Dublin Bay Sailing Club are all geared up for their annual Turkey Shoot – and looking forward to great numbers and great sailing once again. "These Sunday mornings will definitely take your mind off all the other mundane things", says Fintan Cairns.
Over the past few years Dublin Bay Sailing Club has provided racing over a 13 week period between the traditional 'seasons'. For 13 Sunday mornings – seven before Christmas and six before Easter some of the best racing has taken place in the bay.
To see a fleet of up to 85 boats sailing on a crisp clear Sunday morning has, maybe, brought a lump to the throat and perhaps even a hint of regret that your boat is on the hard stand for the winter.
With at least another ten weeks available to do all those maintenance jobs before the next season in 2010 and with some uncertainty regarding availability of hard standing due harbour development why not take the element of doubt totally away from the equation – Take a winter contract in Dun Laoghaire Marina and enter the DBSC Turkey Shoots and Spring Chicken series.
They also have a very special offer from Dun Laoghaire Marina – see here
DBSC say 'sooner rather than later' entries would be much appreciated – entries to the Marina office: tel: 2020040, fax 2020043,
