A new date in October has been chosen by Fisa for the European Rowing Championships. The event, which was originally set for June 5th to 7th, has now been moved to October 9th to 11th, at the original venue of Poznan, Poland. A final decision as to whether the refixed event can go ahead, given the Covid-19 crisis, will be made by July 31st.

The European Junior Championships in Belgrade have been set for September 26th and 27th, with a final decision on June 24th. The European Under-23 Championships in Duisiburg, Germany, have not been moved from September 5th and 6th. A final decision will be made by May 30th.

We've got a favour to ask

More people are reading Afloat.ie than ever thanks to the power of the internet but we're in stormy seas because advertising revenues across the media are falling fast. Unlike many news sites, we haven’t put up a paywall because we want to keep our marine journalism open.

Afloat.ie is Ireland's only full–time marine journalism team and it takes time, money and hard work to produce our content.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.

If everyone chipped in, we can enhance our coverage and our future would be more secure. You can help us through a small donation. Thank you.
