No Wind for Water Wag Racing

25th May 2018

What a shame! The Water Wags, the largest one-design fleet in Dun Laoghaire on Dublin Bay have lost three out of their last five races, due to inclement weather.

On 23 May the problem was, that the valiant Race Officers could not find what direction the wind was coming from; because as soon as they laid a course, what wind there was, quickly turned around and came from a different direction.

Thus it was that about 25 enthusiastic Water Wags had to row their lovely classic wooden vessels home after about three-quarters of an hour on the water.

They will endeavour to race again next week, weather permitting.
