#mermaid – Mermaid Week got off to a blustery start at Foynes Yacht Club on the Shannon Estuary on Saturday. The first race in the classic clinker dinghy class was won by Paddy Dillon's Wildwind, second was Jim Cathy's Vee and third was third was Darragh McCormack's Innocence. Full results for the race are downloadable below. Today's racing in the 22–boat fleet at Foynes has been cancelled due to strong winds.
