21st August 2009
Last week in August events

We’ve championships to spare this week – Fireballs in France (if you happen to be there), 1720s in Baltimore, Laser Nationals in Lough Derg, Etchells at Howth, Squibs in Dun Laoghaire, and GP14s in Sligo. What a wealth! Adding to the cosmopolitan flavour of this week’s event list, Germany hosts the 8th European Canoe Polo Championships at Essen. Lots of angling, particularly the 4-day International festival at Cobh, and Heritage Week kicks off in Kilkenny on Saturday the 22nd and continues all around the country with activities for all the family. This is August going out with a bang!
