Launch of brand-new range from Helly Hansen

20th October 2009
Launch of brand-new range from Helly Hansen
Next year’s London Boat Show (8-17 January), will see global sportswear brand, Helly Hansen return to ExCeL with its new Hydro Power sailing range for 2010. All visitors to the show will be able to see the new collection on the Helly Hansen stand. You can preview some of the range over the fold.

The Hydro Power range has been designed with inshore racing, day sailing and RIB driving in mind. The collection consists of technical jackets, bibs and mid-layers, alongside a stylish lifestyle collection for looking great on shore after an action-fuelled day.
In order to achieve optimum performance during intense activity, it’s essential to be wearing the appropriate technical kit. The Hydro Power range provides the perfect solution for inshore enthusiasts requiring exceptional freedom of movement, waterproof protection, breathability and style.

1_hydro_power_lift_jacket_small.jpg Iconic pieces available on the stand will include the Hydro Power Lift Jacket (pictured left). This lightweight jacket has been made with a fully waterproof and breathable two-layer construction for full protection and freedom of movement at sea. Inner PU cuffs and adjustable outer cuffs provide a complete water seal – even when arms are raised – and a Polartec fleece lined collar ensures comfort and warmth in all conditions.

Safety is paramount to Helly Hansen and the Lift Jacket features reflective elements on the arms, a highly visible ocean hood and kill chord ring. The women’s version of this jacket has been styled with a flattering, feminine fit.

2_hydro_power_race_jacket_small.jpg For experienced inshore racers, the Hydro Power Race Jacket (left) for men ticks all the boxes. Perfect for intense use during a race, this hip-length jacket is lightweight, quick drying and made using Helly Tech 02 waterproof stretch fabric for ease of movement and dryness.

Other features include reinforced elbows, articulated arms, adjustable PU cuffs, 360 degree reflective elements and a high visibility hood.

To increase protection and minimise exposure on the water, sailors can team jackets up with the Hydro Power Bib (below) and on colder days, layer up and keep warm with the Hydro Power Fleece midlayer. Available in male and female versions, this is the perfect fleece for keeping the spring chill at bay, whether out on the water or relaxing on shore. 3_hydro_power_bib_small.jpg
The Hydro Power Polo (below) and Hydro Power Quick Dry Pant provide classic comfort and style for everyday wear through the summer months.

So you can see why we need to ask for your help.
