Vacancy for Port Agency Assistant With Hamilton Shipping in Cork

Hamilton Shipping is currently recruiting for a Port Agency Assistant based in its busy Port of Cork office.

Established in 1919 with offices in Belfast, Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Galway and Foyle Port, Hamilton Shipping is one of the most experienced and respected shipping companies in Ireland, providing a comprehensive range of shipping services across the whole island.

Hamilton’s Port Services Division caters for all types of dry bulk, cruise, naval, liquid bulk and offshore vessels calling at any port in Ireland.

A team of dedicated agency personnel strive to produce a high standard of vessel husbandry and, through use of local knowledge and initiative, achieve an efficient turnaround and despatch of vessels in port.

The role of Port Agency Assistant will require boarding vessels such as dry bulk, oil tankers, cruise liners and naval ships.

Applicants must be of a good standard of education and ship agency or allied shipping experience is preferred. A full clean driving licence is a prerequisite.

Out-of-office-hours work, and weekend work on a rota basis will be involved. From time to time the successful candidate may be required to work at other company sites.
