The ‘Chasing Lighthouses’ Exhibition

#Lighthouses - The latest collection of paintings by Irish artist Donal Murray entitled 'Chasing Lighthouses' will be unveiled at the National Maritime Museum, Dun Laoghaire tommorow, on Friday 21 August. The opening reception of this unique collection is at 7.15pm.

The collection comprises 30 stunning oil paintings and drawings of Irish lighthouses that took Murray two years to complete.

All paintings and drawings on display are available for purchase.

For only 10 days the ''Chasing Lighthouses' will be exhibited at the NMMI until the 31 August.

The maritime museum located on Haigh Street links Georges Street Upper, Dun Laoghaire and The Metals that runs along the DART railway line.

Irish Lights is responsible for providing marine aids to navigation under the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) convention. This remit includes: providing and maintaining over 300 general aids to navigation, managing about 4,000 local aids to navigation and marking or removing dangerous wrecks outside harbour areas around Ireland.
